Nationalism is a kind of plague itself and modern nation-states are obsolete, dangerous and detrimental to mankind’s well-being.
We should put emphasis on what we have in common, not exploring if the Northern Germans look different from the South Germans.
I am not definitely saying the prime academic research should lie in exploring skulls or faces of particular nations. However, it should not be prohibited and scholars should not be expelled from academia for conducting such research.
So who are nowadays researchers who “explore” such issues? Yes, Neo-Nazis, nationalists and white supremacists. All wrong.
Americans, for example, look English (their genetics is mainly English) and they have narrow skulls. And talking about European nations, they basically all have different looks. Considering me, I look Czech or Central European. And since Czech genetics is overlapping with Polish, Slovak, Hungarian or German people, it is very entertaining to watch people on the street which nation they could belong to.
But no. This cannot be the subject of an academic inquirer. The Nazis have done it and we are unlike them so let’s curtail academic freedoms (if there are any at all).
