Some people cannot understand how Czechs don’t understand the Polish language (and vice versa)

While the modern Czech people are a mixture of all the possible tribes (for example Celtic people, Germanic people) their language is undoubtedly Slavic.

Modern linguistics regard both of these Western Slavic languages (Polish and Czech) as mutually unintelligible.

Hundreds of years ago, a future Czech king was sent to Poland to acquire their language.

Some Czech-Russian journalist claims how come that some Czechs don’t understand the Polish language. But knowledge of Russian gives you the advantage because the Polish language is quite similar to Russian and since you know both Czech and Russian, the Polish language may be easier to grasp.

But I’ve seen native Czech people nearly perfectly understand the Polish language even without previously studying it. So you may defy mainstream science and prove you know the language of the Poles which regard Czechs as their most favorable nation (not reciprocated, however).

Do you know what the Czechs are thinking about the Polish language. They speak with a lisp. And what about the Polish people regarding the Czech language. Yes, they are speaking with lisp.
