Why I am not a skeptic

I don’t like people who call themselves skeptics. They claim things don’t exist in a generalized way.

I don’t believe in dowsing rod, alternative medicine, astrology, poltergeists, paranormal things, acupuncture, psychoanalysis, creationism, parapsychology, and so on.

So why I am not a skeptic? Because I refuse to turn down things in general.

Science has produced such robust knowledge which may not change for hundreds of years but something will change.

I am definitely not a fan of Deepak Chopra. But he is right that our perceptions should always be left open. His research is completely incompatible with what we call science. Yet we should still let things to be in open state.

Consider the dark matter. Yes, it is very probably not connected with something spiritual but we have very little clue about it. So I think it is not good to be a skeptic. At least in this case.
