India is a flawed democracy with enormously deep-seated corruption. Torture is widespread in the prison system.
Yet, what does really bother the US government? Yes, corruption (not the corporate one because they stand for corporations).
But look closely at the US’ criticism of China. Right, they criticize everything they can. Because investing is very difficult and China poses a threat to the US and their commercial interests.
I would really love the one superpower (and the US are just the sole super-power) to be impartial.
