Tons of powerful people and insightful analysts say we are heading toward WW3. There are international clinetelist connections based on wealth and capital flows. And everyone tries to get the most of the pie.
My article reflects the moral misdeeds (or rather crimes) that preceded the possibility of WW3 (and despite the fact that I am not an analyst) that have not so small a probability of happening.
Hillary Clinton’s failure
Arguably, one of the most prepared people to hold the office. It may have been pride, but also reckless acts that caused Hillary Clinton not to become POTUS.
Don’t get me wrong! The Clintons were political predators who destroyed the careers of tons of politicians. They were (or maybe are) keeping records of enemies they needed to destroy. Needless to say, politics is a cruel discipline; you will be forced out of the game even when it’s morally completely wrong (from the common morality standpoint).
Wall Street (aka Big Banks, super-rich families) firmly had her back. But she (and, as I understand, her husband warned her) mismanaged political marketing segments. Of course, voters are stupid, irrational sheep.
Not only would she have played around the super-rich groups, but she would have done it so even they could exist without endless feuds. She would have balanced power so that both battlefronts (China and Russia) would have been manageable. For example, I doubt Russia would have started its invasion of Ukraine.
Getting closer to WW3: EU’s Ukrainian coup
Since the super-rich deeply want to control entire economies – and, by extension, the politicians – Ukraine (and even Russia itself) was no exception.
Euromaidan was, of course, driven by a firm power grab by those who wanted a stake in Ukrainian business. They overthrew the government, which was Russia-leaning, and they could have predicted that things might turn military.
Well, with our out-of-control politicians (the ones controlled by the rich) supposedly doing everything to prevent WW3, they did what they did.
Putin’s invasion
Feeling cornered by the potential Ukrainian entrance to NATO or the EU (which would mean missiles within his borders) and being aware of the limited possibility of removing the pro-Western government, Putin started a war that he believed would be short-lived.
No doubt, there were interesting background forces (the vast majority of political theater is such we don’t see) that made Putin do what he did. Putin, from the beginning of his tenure, wanted to be a great player in European affairs. No results so far.
But he didn’t indebt his country to the Western banks. Also, Putin didn’t allow the Western capital to enter Russia (so no power plays). He wanted to change the international wealth and capital flow system. This was the reason they didn’t let him play the grand game.
WW3 coming soon? Inept politicians, very stupid voters
If we omit the moral aspect of the war, the Russo-Ukrainian War is a proxy war par excellence.
The global power interests could not be more visible, and the military machine is running at full speed.
As I wrote, you are basically choosing sides based on whether you prefer at least some democracy or authoritarian rule in Putin’s style.
From the common moral standpoint (and there are better philosophical moral systems), the blame is on the politicians. They have gotten us to where we are.
Second, the blame is on voters all over the globe that allowed politicians to head WW3. Maybe pacifism is a dirty word.
