What would have happened if the Vietnam war was won by the US

The real motive of the US to go to war with Vietnam was to contain China (economically and militarily). And how this could have happened?

If the Vietnam war was won by the US, there would have been massive investment from the US super-rich interest groups, therefore an economic control of the country (exactly as Japan after WW2). And as we have learned – economy = politics. When you are strong economically you exert significant control over the political system.

The difference between North and South Korea couldn’t be more eye-striking. The first extremely poor and corrupt country, the latter one the most developed countries on this planet.

The second case would have also happened with Vietnam having it made the populous country of 89 million people with extremely developed economy and strong army. Therefore, China could have been contained to some point.

Also, your local Vietnamese convenience store owner could have been an engineer in economically sophisticated Vietnam.

Notice that I am not talking about the war had continued even when deemed as lost. That would be for another article about the military-industrial complex.
