Computational science or the Theory of relativity are difficult to grasp. But is far more difficult to stop poisoning billions of brown rats without any anesthesia or end shaming development for cancer cure (and it wouldn’t actually cost much). Or not waging wars. It was not the case that I wouldn’t have liked the kindergarten. I have had severe psychiatric problems partly because of it (depression, severe anxiety and fear). No help came.
My grandmother who was an MD uttered: “We are flying to the cosmos but we are unable to repair a toilet!” What an absolute misunderstanding of human nature! People are selfish and their morality is far more closer to moral nihilism than the perfect morality. We don’t care if someone is dying but we can collect taxes and fly to the cosmos.
In 2023, as I am writing this article, a Chinese-US war is a possibility. Someone rightfully wrote: “We have super-duper weapons, however, the caveman mentality.”
The science of weaponry is only for those with a really high IQ. But it is not the way that the smart (those who don’t want war) create the weapons meanwhile those stupid fight it (and want the war).
No doubt there is a correlation between not wanting wars and IQ, however, we must admit that psychometrics is not an exact science. While no doubt there is something as “g factor”, it is still just statistics, people with the same IQs possess different cognitive abilities.
So some people with really high IQs can (by altering politics) be against war and some (with the same IQ) are clueless.
Objecting there is something as talent (derived from the IQ) and personality traits is a fitting critique. However, I want to highlight the real core is the very mental ability and it is part of your cognitive apparatus. So while multifaceted, we must bring genes responsible for “political intelligence” (derived from IQ) into reality.
I admit these problems are partly given by our evolutionary instincts and we are programmed to resolve politics for a collective as large as an average hunter-gatherer group.
But altering genetically IQ is a much more easier way than reprogramming us to resolve politics for hundreds of millions (genetical engineering).
