I must reiterate my previous claims. The United States of America is ruled by a few super-rich groups who exert control over the politicians, judges, attorneys, secret services, media, etc. Thus, they make the establishment which is something evil. And then we have Edward Snowden and Julian Assange who go against it.
But there can be ten times more of them. Only dead or missing.
The tribalism-based establishment doesn’t want Snowden or Assange to disrupt it
While someone who shares my value may be shocked by it, these very people who serve the establishment (and I don’t mean the infantrymen, but highly-ranking officials) know very well whom they serve.
It is tribalism which is the American blind nationalism in this case. It is us and them dichotomy. No matter what we (us) do, what crime we will commit, no matter how many people we will kill, we have the superior right to do anything we want.
For example, Barack Obama and George W. Bush prepared their post-9/11 death score: “An estimated 3.6-3.8 million people have died indirectly in post-9/11 war zones, bringing the total death toll to at least 4.5-4.7 million and counting. Over 432,000 civilians have been killed as a result of the fighting. 38 million — the number of war refugees and displaced persons.” Costs of War – here
But it does not matter. It is us and them. Yet, do you want to disrupt our great work? We will kidnap you to some black-site, torture you, or finally kill you.
Secret services rarely kill. But Snowden or Assange?
I wrote about secret services killing people which is quite rare. But someone like Edward Snowden or Julian Assange? Give me a break!
They could have caught Snowden before he downloaded the files. They could have caught him after that or could have prevented him from fleeing.
Every single step may have been an end for him. And do you think they would have just politely told him this was not the way how to conduct it?
No, the end station would be a black site or death. The difference is that Edward Snowden has made it.
How many whistleblowers are there?
My number was just a guess. But it still may be huge. The USA is good in extrajudicial killings or imprisonment.
Donald Trump admitted his country is full of killers when defending Vladimir Putin: “You think our country’s so innocent?” Hopefully, it won’t be my case.
There may be tens of people like Snowden and Assange preparing to blow their whistle and tens of them murdered, tortured, or just disappeared.
