Adults laughing at the stylish teenagers explained by Darwinism

Adults tend to laugh at teenagers as they have their idols, wear distinct clothes, have common musical tastes and influencers attract them. They laugh at teenagers because they are stylish. Not only it is a huge hypocrisy because adults are programmed to such a behavior which possesses evolutionary advantages as well. So does Darwinism explain it all?

Development psychology in teenagers. Darwinism at its best

Teenagers have evolutionary-given mental equipment that is transitioned later on to different variations.

But all of this is because of spreading their selfish genes. Therefore, social status, and mating selection. They often use style as a means of signaling their social identity, attracting potential mates, and establishing themselves within their peer groups (that are hierarchically built). They mimick the fashion choices of their peers to fit in and gain acceptance

Teenagers are younger and more fertile and exhibit behaviors associated with short-term mating strategies, such as seeking multiple partners or engaging in risk-taking behaviors to attract mates.

They seek risks and seek novel experiences as part of the process of gaining independence and finding mates.

Adults are monkeys. They have different behaviors for the same purposes

But what do adults do when they are so different? No, they are actually the same. Of course, their behavior is not so perplexing and complex, but they do what their offspring do, spread their selfish genes.

Some objections? No, this is Darwinism and evolutionary psychology or evolutionary biology.

So they are happy when got a new house, car, electric equipment, pool, lover. Parental investments differ between adults and youngsters. Adults are typically more invested in providing care and support for offspring because they have greater resources and life experiences.

They are in the stage of life where reproduction and investment in offspring become primary concerns.

They also often have more defined preferences and criteria when selecting long-term partners, considering factors such as compatibility, stability, and parental qualities.

We may have nuclear weapons but Darwinism rules

Homo sapiens are nothing but monkeys no matter how strong the adult’s conviction is that we are mature.

So the next time you see your children wearing this and that clothing, just remember you lusting for a new car.
