Social Darwinism works in the USA far better than in other “developed” countries. People are eating out at restaurants meanwhile some disadvantaged persons are dying because of asthma (sic!) or they cannot pay their medical checks – or worse – they are dying from hunger. And you think it happens only in third-world countries?
While survival of the fittest is obsolete with the Theory of selfish gene replacing it, something doesn’t change. People are callous when it comes to someone else death (that should have actually been prevented) and they compete with each other.
The highly watched trial with enormously talented (that doesn’t make his crimes less heinous) singer, rapper, songwriter and producer R. Kelly showed the things we already know. The sentences are absolutely crazy. And more, the whole system is unjust.
No possible rehabilitation, no social net, an unbelievable incarceration rate and overcrowding.
So rape somebody (and I highly despise it, for the record, this shouldn’t be legal at all costs), you will rot in jail. Or you can die in the streets, it is completely legal and moral.
A completely new moral system should replace this obsolete one (something close to utilitarianism) which would make humankind thrive. And yes, there should be some gene editing.
