Is the influence of the world’s major secret services exaggerated? Absolutely not. It is far being diminished.
You don’t know the old joke (and actually it is not a joke)? A German chancellor says something, leaning to the pro-Russian side, then suddenly makes a U-turn. I won’t comment on it and let my kind readers decide (if you still cannot realize, I have a hint that there was a huge influence of foreign countries (especially of one country) after WW2).
They say that certain US super-rich groups are around American secret services which may alter the president’s decision quality (for example, giving him wrong information) when he is not aligned with them.
Every country’s secret services are connected to background eminences (and yes, we may call them privatized). No matter whether it is capitalism, socialism, mixed economy and so on. They have basically unlimited financial resources. The most powerful Czech oligarch was warn not to proceed some steps because one unnamed secrete service had its interest there.
They influence economic entities (therefore background political players), politicians, lobbyists, movers-and-shakers, crooks, lodges, and other secret services, therefore shaping even international relationships.
They say democratic secret services are not allowed assassin persons (except for Mossad) and while it may sound like a joke, it has a core of truth. Alfred Herrhausen (the last banker with a conscience) was killed by whomever we may think (Germans with French support against powerful Anglo-Saxon structures – he wanted to cancel East Germany’s debts), but Julian Assange should have been a target of the CIA assassination attempt, however, its legality was questioned by the organization itself.
Now words of one of the most notorious whistle-blowers: “If they want to get you, in time they will.” Hopefully, this won’t be my case.
