Those billions of unborn shadows

When you kill a child in Christian culture they regard you as the worst scum. Prisoners will torture you because a child is a God’s gift and because they were abused in their childhood as well.

However, if the child isn’t born at all everything goes. And this is, in my humble opinion, one of the biggest flaws of the current Western moral system. But we unfortunately live in a primitive, animal-like moral system. Evolution programmed us to have children all the time, contraception means didn’t exist in the vast majority of human existence so there consequentially wasn’t any pressure when people didn’t have kids

My logic goes like this: a perfect moral system should be modeled by mathematics but the common sense optic view is that there should be infinite individuals with infinitely good lives.

So to some advancement, a pair should have at least 2 children otherwise there would be a jail term. But no, our culture and primitive instincts command us differently.

Many crises lowered the natality with their culprits not being held accountable. And what about the rich countries, their ordinary citizens should fund the poor countries in order for them to have more babies. And maybe the super-rich groups sitting on billions should pay the check.

And there are other situations where the unborn shadows are unborn. My father died in a car accident he didn’t cause so I have no siblings. Or a couple may split so no new kid is on the block. This could go infinitely.

But I think one thing is remarkable. We want a new Einstein, a new von Neumann but we are doing the best our natality as at lowest. And speaking of genius, nowadays evolutionary pressure is on people with lower IQs because they have more children.
